Rob and I both have colds. We're going through a LOT of tissues.
These cuties, who now look like this...
They joined our family seven weeks ago. They are wonderful!
I am now a Childbirth Educator. I'm working on getting certified both as a Doula (through PALS) and as a Childbirth Educator (through Great Starts). There is a lot of reading involved. Not all of these books are on the reading lists...and some that are on the lists aren't shown here.
Ah, the thumb surgery. These are both pre-surgery. Now, about six weeks later, Rob still has to keep the wrist and thumb immobilized, but he got the pin out yesterday (yay!). He gets to start PT on Monday, working on bending the thumb and re-mobilizing the wrist.
Sirius is bearing with us through all of this change and upheaval. He's a real trooper, and a *very* good "big brother".
Rob's injury and subsequent one-arm status has been an amazingly educational experience for both of us. We have truly had to deal with a lot of our own "stuff", and for that we are so grateful. I have a lot to share about that, but it has to wait until there is time. I'll write soon. I'm still here!
