Friends, last week was rough! I had three tests and was coming down with this weirdly mild cold. I felt tired, stressed, and most days I really just wished I were doing on-line classes so that I could stay in my PJs all day. lol
Instead, I got dressed:
Boots: Ariat, Cords: J.Crew, T-shirt: Nordstrom, Sweater: Me-Made (Tilted Duster*), Hat: Me-Made
These are old cords that have been sitting in my closet waiting for me to fit back into them. They aren't all that flattering, but I was so pleased to be able to get into them that I wore them. You know how it is, right? Anyway, I think they are what J.Crew used to call "Favorite Fit", in a short cut. I'm only 5'2", but these short pants are actually too short on me. It works okay with my flat boots, though, and could even pass as almost stylishly short (like some of the skinny jeans are).
I was cold all day, what with having a cold and all, so I kept my sweater and hat on through classes. Plus, the sweater covered the not-so-flattering fit through the hips and bum of these pants. Baby steps!
This was a day that was all about being as comfortable, cozy and warm as I could manage, whether it looked good or not was irrelevant. I think I did okay, all things considered.
* If you're interested in the details of Me-Made items, you can read about them on my Ravelry page. Look for seattleyogini!
Well, you looked darling, not sick. I know when I'm under the weather, all I want is comfy and cozy. Inevitably, I catch sight of myself in the mirror and my schleppiness makes me feel worse! I definitely need to upgrade my house uniforms!

Oh, thanks Debbie! Isn't it amazing how much our degree of clothing schlep affects our degree of *feeling* schleppy? When I'm uninspired due to stress or poor sleep or whatever, I feel it is even more important to put effort into my outfit. The payoff is that I end up feeling (at least a little bit) better!
P.s. Thank you *so* much for commenting! /hug
